photoblog image Feng Pao Fireworks Festival
On the last day of Chinese New Year is Lantern Festival. Traditionally families write their hopes and dreams in a lantern and let it float into the air.
A little town in Taiwan called Yenshui celebrates in a different way! Thousands of people line the streets to stand in front of huge towers filled with bottle rockets aimed straight at you. It is lucky if you get hit, and no matter where you stand, the rockets are unpredictable, so there is a good chance of luck coming your way!

It made a beautiful photo though I would not want one hitting me.
Victoria Tompkins: Thanks. Usually I am right up in the front line, but this time I stood back be the observer. That still does not keep me safe from stray rockets though!
